Dr Melody Neaves is senior lecturer for the Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering Department at Stellenbosch University and one of the leading members of the Materials Engineering Research Group. Her main research field is centred on additive manufacturing using titanium and superalloy materials as well as advanced material characterisation techniques such as digital image correlation. This includes the production, post-processing and evaluation of laser-powder bed fusion produced titanium electrolyser parts for hydrogen production.
